Trip Description.

Welcome to Aurora Expeditions’ Antarctica Active: All Inclusive Activities expedition. Paddling, camping, snowshoeing and snorkelling are included in the activity cost.

Aurora Expeditions is renowned for the variety and volume of activities offered to expeditioners on our voyages. On these activity-packed sailings, you will experience the wonders of Antarctica on a deeper level. Not only will you enjoy Zodiac excursions and guided walks offered on all our voyages, you will also paddle in among icebergs in protected bays and perhaps glimpse wildlife close up. Step into your own snowshoes for a gentle hike, where breathtaking views await. For the ultimate overnight adventure in Antarctica, pack a sleeping bag for a sleepover on the ice. We can't guarantee a sound slumber, but we can guarantee an unforgettable night on the ice.

Voyage Map.

You land in Ushuaia, and settle into your hotel. The next day, you board your expedition ship. Crossing the Drake Passage, you head to Antarctica, where you explore icebergs, wildlife, and enjoy activities like a polar plunge. Then, you sail back through the Drake Passage, reflecting on your adventure. The trip ends as you disembark in Ushuaia, with transfers arranged based on your departure plans.

  • Will we get off the ship?

    Yes!!! After leaving Longyearbyen it will be the ultimate goal of the Captain, Expedition Leader, and the Expedition Team to make sure we get off the ship as much as possible. You’ll participate in landings, zodiac cruises, and any additional activities you’ve signed up for. Check the “Day by day trip itinerary” above for more details on each outing.

    The price shown is the "all-in” price after all taxes, fees, port fees, and permits required; which are handled by the tour operator.   • Do I pay extra if I'm a solo traveler?

    Not necessarily, no! Our group trips are usually made up of around 50% solo travelers! Prices are always per person, per bed. If you’re a solo traveler, we will match you with a same-gender roommate from our group to share your cabin with. There is also the option for solo cabin availability on certain trips. Please send us a message about solo cabins if that’s your preference.
